Connecting Academia, Innovators, Inventors, Industry, Policy Makers and Entrepreneurs
- Aims & Objectives
WIKIDEMIA is a global interactive forum designed to connect the academia, innovators, inventors, industry leaders, policy makers, and entrepreneurs across disciplines, fields and professions. It also serves as a huge reservoir of information for people who wish to get a head start in researching a variety of subjects.
Therefore, our major aims are:
- To encourage researchers in various fields to publish plain-language versions of their research as essays in Wikidemia; essays that are intelligible to readers and interested parties outside their academic areas, without discipline-specific jargons, terminologies, and complex statistical computations that are only understood by very few people.
- To encourage people who possibly feel detached from, or are uninterested in academic research, to read and appreciate research outcomes as leisurely as they do with other forms of narratives in various media platforms.
- To encourage entrepreneurs, policy makers and professionals in the industry to visit Wikidemia and explore research outcomes and innovations that will enhance the quality of their work or introduce them to novel ideas, and possibly urge them to reach out to the author(s) of the research and innovators and start a conversation with them.
- To encourage budding researchers to actively use Wikidemia as a rich resource for new or complementary ideas for research.
- To encourage innovators seeking a forum to publicize their creative output to use Wikidemia to reach a wider audience of professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and industry specialists who might be interested in their work.
